Chevrolet SilveradoOwner’s ManualDownload

An upgraded variation of the third generation Chevrolet Silverado was shown via video conference in 2015. The car is positioned as a model of the 2017-2018 model year, while it entered the market in 2016.

After the reforms, the pickup got a more attractive exterior design. In particular, the configuration of the head lighting optics has been changed – the main headlights are built on LED elements, and running lights are placed below them. Bumpers have become more massive, and the cells of the grille have expanded.

Inside, the range of finishing materials has been updated. The updated multimedia complex is now capable of supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The updated Chevrolet Silverado is presented exclusively in the North American market. Official dealers of the brand put up a price of at least 40 thousand dollars for the car.

Under the hood, a pickup truck hides 4.3-6.2-liter gasoline power plants with a V-shaped layout of six, eight cylinders. Power output varies from 285 to 420 horsepower. All motors are paired with a six-band “automatic”.

It is also worth noting that the new Chevrolet Silverado is designed on the K2XX platform. It shares this base with GMC Sierra. The front suspension is fully independent, while the rear is based on leaf springs (dependent). Drive ̶ full or rear.

Strengths:

  • Modern appearance.
  • Comfortable, voluminous cargo board.
  • Functional interior and high quality finishing materials.
  • Good ergonomics.
  • High-torque engine (5.3 liters).

Weak sides:

  • Insufficient soundproofing.
  • Shaking pendant.
  • Very high fuel consumption.
