Underbelly chains

The massive flat-link chains that run underthe floor are connected to the floor belt by aclamping strip and to the headboard by tighteningsprings. The materials used here arewear-resistant for uncompromised reliabilityand lifespan.

The front end

The unloading unit is driven by two powerfulhydromotors and massive gearboxes with anequally massive shaft that synchronizes thedrives. This unique system facilitates variablechain speeds and powerful unloading andloading.

Inside the body

The headboard and the floor belt form an integral unit which is pulled by twochains running underneath the floor, moving the material gently to the rearand unloading it without disrupting the texture of the silage heap. This uniqueconcept unloads the material at a consistent rate. When the headboard finallyreaches the rear end, the GX is completely emptied. The material is movingalong conical sides with smooth surfaces for minimal friction.

The GX also hauls solid manure and compost. Youcan lower the sides to reduce the filling height andimprove operator visibility.

Specially developed GRP sides are light-weight by design and held by massive stanchions,making a high-stability structure. This and the seals all-round make the GXthe suitable trailer for hauling all types of agricultural cargo – from rape seeds tobeets. The double-function tailgate is another clever feature on the KRONE GX. After all, versatility is key for the GX. The powerful and effective rollers are designed to handle the high unloading rate of the floor belt. When not in use, they simply swing up and out of the way.

Clever folding

KRONEGX boasts a very clever tailgate design. The dischargerollers can be attached to the sides or to the tailgatein a matter of seconds. No helper is required to refitthe two bolts on either end of the rollers – a clever solutionthat speeds up changeovers.

A perfect crop mat

The discharge rollers unload the material in a perfect mat.Measuring 440 mm in diameter and featuring aggressivetines, the two rollers take on huge masses of material andspread it in a uniform mat. This is the first step in a successfulcompacting and conservation process.

Our hydraulic axle assemblies were specifically developed for our wagons and trailers. Up to large 30.5" wheels

Tyres are offered with a range of different treadsand carcasses to provide the perfect outfit forevery situation. The GX 440 tandem-axle machineor GX 520 tridem-axle machine can run on 30.5-inch wheels for an increased footprint and reducedrolling resistance.

Lifting one axle

The leading axle on the hydraulic tridem axles can be raisedduring an empty haul, which is done with the touch of a button,saving tyre wear and costs.

Quiet running

The two hydraulic cylinders on either side of the running gearshare the same hydraulic circuit which distributes the oil andhence the load uniformly across all axles for quiet running,consistent tongue load and greatest stability.

Effective and safe

The GX offers great ride stability on roads and insloping fields. Thanks to a unique configuration,the axles on the hydraulic KRONErunning gearsbenefit from very quiet running. Stability is particularlyimportant when working on slopes orclamping. Smoothing out rough rides, the hydraulicsystem allows the GX to float across the road.

Enhanced reliability

EBS is the optional electronic brake system, whichcomprises ALB, ABS and RSS functions. The rollstability system applies the brakes when it detectsa risk of rollover, ensuring greatest stability whentaking tight turns at speed. Combined, all thesefunctions lead to an enhanced reliability

The brake

The GX 440 and GX 520 have a dual line air brakeas a standard feature. The hydraulic ALB valvecontrols the braking power relative to the currentload. Spring accumulated braking cylindersensure the machine is parked up safely in anyterrain.

Electronic forced steering

The speciality of this steering system is a processor whichreceives data from a steering angle sensor and connectingrod. The integral hydraulic system supplies the steering cylinderwith oil, making GX a very nimble machine. As forwardspeed increases, operator interference decreases for addedroad safety. Yet in field mode, the operators can interferein the steering, which is important on the slope or clamp orwhen shunting, for example.

Hydraulic forced steering

The steering system on tandem and tridem axle models isattached to the tractor via a standardized ball hitch, a steeringrod and a hydraulic master cylinder which controls the oilflow to and from the power steering ram.

Intelligent caster-steer axle

Caster steering is standard specification on the GX 440 modelswith tandem axles. The steering system can be lockedhydraulically during shunting, clamping and in road work.The system is easy to use thanks to the automatic axle lockingfeature which kicks in when the machine reaches a presetspeed or goes into reverse.

KRONE ExactUnload

NEW: A world first – unique unloading control by length of thepit With ExactUnload, GX unloads its cargo automaticallyat rates that match the length of the pit. The operator setsthe unloading rate infinitely variably for a course between10 m and 100 m. ExactUnload controls the unloading rateactively to match the current forward speed of the tractor,helping you deliver the crop in accurate and reproduceableheaps. Laying out a nice blanket, the GX is particularlygood at filling silage pits and controlled unloading routinesin the field.

The remote control

Thanks to the optional radio remote control you canoperate the GX remotely from the ground: open andclose the tailgate or operate the floor/headboardunloading unit at variable speeds. Stay on top ofthings without a helper.

ISOBUS Operation

The general-purpose wagon is conveniently operated from the standard-fit ISOBUScontrol unit. Its clear user interface offers intuitive operation and displaysmachine data and setup information. You can select your preferred view fromconfigurable buttons. As it is our claim is to provide operators with an unclutteredand self-explanatory user interface and operator environment,the GX can be operated either from your tractor terminal or from an additionalISOBUS terminal – ideally one from the KRONECCI family with either the 8-inchor 12-inch display screen showing machine data and the feeds from an optionalrear-view camera side by side.

Safety features

Up to eight LED working lights, sidelights that are visible from far away, reflective strips and an optional camera with display screen are very useful additions that make work at night easier and safer. Together with the underride guard, this equipment provides a maximum of work and road safety.

Visible from afar / Mark out the contours

LED rear lights complete with indicator lights, reverse and brake lights plus additional LED lights at the top warn motorists ahead of a turn. Sidelights indicate the full size of the machine.

Cameras are an option

The GX models are available with optional cameras, onefeeding images from the interior of the machine and oneserving as the reverse camera. The monitor has a switchablecolour display screen that takes the hard work out ofharvesting and makes it safer too.

Underride guard

A hydraulic underride guard brings added safety on publicroads. You can fold it up to make shunting alongside chasersand harvesters much easier. Besides, no crops can collecton the guard when it is out of the way. It folds automaticallyinto road position as soon as the forward speed reaches 15km/h.

External lights

Up to eight extra sidelights are available for the KRONEGXmodel as an option, illuminating the axle and the vicinity ofthe machine for safer and easier shunting and travel alongsidethe forager at night as well as for added safety on theclamp.

Nothing is lost

Crop covers are an option for the KRONEgeneral-purposewagons. They secure the crop in swift road transport.The covers open and close hydraulically.

Reading the current load

The pressure gauges show the current payload by indicatingthe pressure inside the hydraulic cylinders on the articulateddrawbar and in the running gear

The electronic weighing system

The optional electronic weighing system uses sensor pins onthe drawbar and on the tandem/tridem axle with hydraulicpressure compensation. The weight of the load is equivalentto the accumulated drawbar tongue load and axle load. Theweight is recorded and evaluated by job and displayed on thedisplay screen.

Internal lights

Optional LED light bars can be installed inside the loadspace for optimized visibility. Indirect lights make filling themachine from a harvester more pleasant. They can be operatedtogether with the tractor lights.

SmartConnect

The KRONESmart-Connect telemetric unit is anoption for the GX. Offering GPS and Wi-Fi functionalities,it serves as an interface with the datamanagement software. Telemetrics allow managersto track the wagon and record all majordata and transmit them to the office. This is themodern way of farming.
